Production of reagents for COVID vaccines
The new Thermo Fisher Scientific production building located in Vilnius, Lithuania, was designed, manufactured and shipped to the construction site in just 3 weeks!
The 5,500 m2 building produced using the Astron system with the LMR600 roof will enable the company to increase the production and supply of reagents to companies developing mRNA-based vaccines and therapies, including the COVID-19 vaccines.
According to scientists, this technology will also significantly improve the treatment of cardiovascular and oncological diseases. Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltics is the Lithuanian branch of the US-based medical and scientific equipment manufacturer Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltics employs almost 1,300 professionals and is one of the largest private research centers in Central and Eastern Europe.
